The Sütaş Aksaray Integrated Facilities contributed a total of 2.1 billion Turkish lira to the regional economy since its establishment. The income per capita in the region increased by 1,400 Turkish lira since 2009, and 1,000 direct and 17,000 indirect jobs were created as part of this project.
The Economic Impact Analysis Report on the Sütaş Aksaray Integrated Facilities Investment was prepared in 2012 to evaluate the economic impact in the region of Sütaş activities. This report was an industry first.
It was prepared by a team consisting of the director Prof. Erinç Yeldan, the Department of Economics in Bilkent University; Kamil Taşçı, Head of the Assessment, Monitoring, and Research Department of the Ministry of Development; and Mehmet Emin Özsan, Planning Specialist in the Assessment, Monitoring, and Research Department of the Ministry of Development.
