Performance Management System

We aim to track the performance of our colleagues based on set targets. Our performance management system is a dynamic process targeted to plan, measure and develop the performance of our colleagues.

The outcomes of the performance appraisals contribute to training and career planning processes, rewarding and motivation programs, and remuneration plans.

Competency Assessment Process

With our 360-degree competency assessment process, we provide multifaceted feedback to our colleagues based on their competencies. Each employee is assessed by their superiors, subordinates, and peers/internal customers. The results of the competency provide input to the Career and Professional Development committees.

Career and Professional Development Committees and Succession Planning

The Career and Professional Development Committees evaluate the competencies and potential of our colleagues and provide systematic feedback on their careers.

The outcome of the annual committees contributes to career management process, succession planning, training and development activities, and processes for remuneration and fringe benefits.

Career Programs

We implement career programs in all functions (sales, production quality, technical, etc.) to recruit young talents, coach them as future leaders, train employees for critical positions in our company, promote their specialization in respective fields, and boost employee loyalty.

We use assessment tools to measure the potential of candidates for career programs. We offer a structured three-to-four-year career journey to the participants of this program and support them with numerous development plans.

We support the development of the knowledge, skills and competencies of our colleagues to maximize their potential. We also assess their gains, career expectations, business outcomes, and organizational needs to provide them with opportunities to switch locations and functions as they advance in their careers.

Zeynep Tekol - Marketing Manager

“I actively took part in many processes from production to marketing. As a mother, my main motivation as a member of the Sütaş family is to feel peace of mind when feeding my child the products that I produce and market, confidently suggest them to other mothers, and stand by my work.”

I graduated from the Middle East Technical University in 2009 with a degree in Food Engineering and started as a Quality Systems Specialist at Sütaş the same year. As part of my job, I learned about the global food safety standards, including BRC, GMP, and HACCP. I participated in auditing the practices at Sütaş. During that period, I had the opportunity to learn in detail about Sütaş’s unique “Farm to Table” business model.

I was then able to practice as a production engineer what I learned as Quality Systems Specialist. As I worked in production, I thoroughly explored the milk, the dairy, their content, and their production technologies.

Eventually, Sütaş presented me with the opportunity to pursue my dream career as a marketing specialist. I improve myself every day, delving deeper into this field. During my time as a marketer, I conducted a substantial amount of research, new product launches, and communication projects to better understand the consumer and the market.

Thanks to our operations in N.Macedonia, Romania, and Pakistan, I had the opportunity to learn about consumption habits and market dynamics in foreign markets, and I participated in developing global marketing strategies and global brand launches.

I believe Sütaş is an excellent learning environment for colleagues seeking to further grow in their career, and particularly, for people who have recently graduated from university because the very nature of the milk is reflected in the way we do business. My career in Sütaş began in 2007 as Sales Planning, Tracking, and Development Specialist. I then worked in various locations as Sales Representative for Organized Retail Channel, Sales Supervisor, Sales and Direct Distribution Operations Manager, Commercial Marketing Category Manager, and NonHousehold Food and Beverages Sales Manager. I am now the Regional Manager for Izmir.

My journey in Sütaş, which I began right after graduation, led me toward a path of continuous learning in planning, reporting, sales operations, sales channel management, team management, and commercial marketing. A path of constant self-improvement with daily opportunities and continuous value-adding to my competencies and qualities, which subsequently helped me climb the stairs with confidence toward my dream career. Moreover, working in an environment where I can share my achievements with my teammates and develop myself while developing them has always been an additional motivation for me.

I’d like our new colleagues to rest assured that they are very lucky to be a part of this company that nurtures continuous learning and prioritizes training and improvement. My advice to my new colleagues for a successful career at Sütaş is to always keep their passion alive for their work, maintain their enthusiasm and desire to learn, always strive for excellence in whatever they do, and work harder than they did the day before to become a dairy master. Mehmet Uğur Güney - Production Manager

I’ve been working at Sütaş since 2013. I’m currently the Production Manager at the Milk Acceptance and Preliminary Processing, UHT, Labne Cheese, Butter, and Powder Products Department at the Aksaray Integrated Facilities.

During my first two years at Sütaş, I worked as Quality Control Specialist in the Chemistry, Raw Milk, Microbiology, and Input Laboratories of the Quality Control Department. I then served as a production engineer in the UHT and Powdered Products department. Next, I worked as Production Supervisor in the Ayran and Yogurt Production Departments for a year and a half. I later served as Product Supervisor in the White Cheese and Strained White Cheese Department for two and a half years. I am currently working as Production Manager.

My time as Quality Control Specialist at the company helped me develop the habit of prioritizing both customer satisfaction and a quality-oriented approach. I’ve made it my priority to track all products from production to shipping from a quality control perspective to deliver our consumers always the best. As I moved on to different fields following quality control department, I noticed that both my engineering and management skills developed with each new position I undertook.

Sütaş is the ideal environment to work as an engineer and to implement and improve the information that I gained during my education. Here, we never stop questioning or seeking excellence. We never sit on our laurels and always strive to be better. We have here a culture where knowledge grows through sharing and where everyone supports one another.
