How does Sütaş manage water resources? What practices does it carry out to save water?

Using water efficiently and reintroducing wastewater to nature at high quality are among our material issues.

In crop production, we determine the irrigation periods and the amount of water according to the crop type and soil moisture. We began using a drip irrigation system in 2015 and have expanded the system to all crop production activities. This has allowed us to achieve water savings of 25 to 40 percent and increase yield.

The processes consuming the most water in our farms and factories were cleaning, washing, and sanitation. With water efficiency projects, we recycle and reuse water vapor and salvage some of the water we use in washing. This is equivalent to 10 percent of our total water use. We also implement practices for efficiency in water consumption.
